Terms and Conditions
Registration:

One $45, non-refundable Membership Fee per student is charged upon enrollment, and again annually on the same date thereafter.
Tuition:
-
The first month’s tuition is due upon registration for lessons via ACH withdrawal or credit/debit charge**. The charge for the first month will be prorated if necessary.

Tuition after that will be automatically withdrawn via ACH withdrawal or credit/debit charge** on the 22nd of every month for the following month’s lessons.

Late payments are subject to an automatic $25 penalty applied to your account. Please make sure that your payment info is kept up to date with us to avoid any extraneous charges.
**ALL CREDIT CARD TRANSACTIONS ARE SUBJECT TO A 3% SURCHARGE.
Classes Non Refundable:

Class visits are not eligible to be traded for monetary compensation. There will be no monetary billing deductions or refunds for missed classes, regardless of the reason for cancellation.

Furthermore, there will be no deductions or refunds for absences that are a result of teacher absence. Makeup credits will be issued in this instance.

Monetary credit may be given for long-term illness, injury, or emergency at the sole discretion of the owners.

There are no refunds or transfers. We appreciate your cooperation in paying in full.
Correspondence:

The Allegra School of Music and Arts will contact you via email and phone/text using your primary mobile number. On registration we will confirm if you wish to opt into receiving text (SMS) messages from Allegra. If you do not wish to be contacted via text message, please ask us to opt out of our SMS system.

Attendance:
-
If you cannot attend a class or lesson for any reason, please submit your absence and schedule your makeup through our Family Portal.

Makeup / reschedules will only be offered with at least 24 hours notice before absences.

Absences submitted within the 24-hour window will not be eligible for makeup.
Make-Up Classes:
-
You may receive up to 10 makeup classes per year in the form of non-refundable makeup credits for excused client-absences (24 hours’ notice required) during the 365 day period after registration.

Makeups for excused client-absences will expire 90 days after initial class cancellation.

In the case of Teacher Absences in which a substitute is not secured, students will be issued a non-refundable makeup credit which will NOT be applied toward their annual limit. Teacher-absence makeup credits will expire after 180 days after initial class cancellation.

Makeup lessons must be scheduled through the Family Portal

Make-up classes are determined based on instrument-availability and are not guaranteed to be with students’ regular teachers.
Teacher Absences:

At Allegra we pride ourselves in our teachers being excellent educators as well as sought after working musicians. All of them are human beings who will occasionally get sick or have scheduling conflicts. In the case of teacher absence, Allegra will provide a qualified substitute.

Due to time restraints, we may not have the ability to notify families about teacher absences ahead of time. However, if a substitute cannot be secured, we will do our best to give you as much notice as possible, and will issue you a makeup (see above).

If you choose not to take a class with a substitute, you will forfeit the lesson and be ineligible for a makeup credit. Exceptions to this rule are given at the sole discretion of the owners and Studio Manager.. Makeup credits issued in these cases may be counted toward your annual makeup credit limit.
Suspension of Billing:

Notice to suspend or pause requires written notice submitted to the Studio Manager at least 30 days prior to billing day on the 1st of the month.

Notice given past the first week of the month will only count after the following month has passed.
Inclement Weather:

In the event that Allegra must physically close the school, an email will be sent out to notify our families, and our website will be updated with the relevant information.

In these instances, classes are held virtually via Zoom.
Holiday Closures:

Allegra closes for the following holidays, for which tuition is automatically adjusted to reflect lesson cancellation:

Recital(s):

Students are expected to participate in recitals and are strongly encouraged to participate in trips, concerts, competitions, and other special events.

It is required that all recital participants wear proper recital attire; dress pants, slacks, dresses, skirts, blouses, nice dress tops, etc.
